What We Do: Native Wildlife Recovery

Wolves capture our imaginations with their power, cunning, playfulness and ferocity. They also play a major role in a healthy ecosystem by acting as a keystone species that impacts all other species, either directly or indirectly.

The fishery resource of NE Oregon is an important part of a healthy and functioning ecosystem. The steelhead, Chinook salmon and bull trout are all on the threatened and endangered list.

The issue: Domestic sheep pass fatal disease to bighorn sheep, yet the Forest Service has been allowing domestic sheep grazing in bighorn sheep habitat within Hells Canyon and the Salmon River drainage.
